3 Easy Ways To Include Turmeric In Your Diet

Turmeric comes from a flowering plant and is used as a spice in many regions around the world. It is known for it’s catchy color and recently, it has been established to have numerous health benefits. It helps with aching and/or stiff joints, improving cholesterol levels, soothes irritate tissue and the list goes on. In order to increase your intake of turmeric, there are some quick and simple ways to do it:

TURMERIC TEA

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup almond or coconut milk

  2. ½ teaspoon turmeric

  3. 1 pinch of cayenne pepper

  4. 1 inch finely grated ginger root

  5. 1-2 teaspoons of raw honey

Directions:

First, warm up the milk in a pan and mix the other ingredients in a small bowl. Then, add a little of the warmed milk to the bowl. Stir well. Get rid of all the lumps and smooth out the mixture before adding it to the rest of the milk. Add the mixture to the rest of the milk and stir.

TURMERIC SALAD DRESSING

Ingredients:

  1. 3 small, or 2 large lemons

  2. Fresh peeled ginger

  3. Minced garlic

  4. Ground turmeric

  5. Honey

  6. Avocado Oil

Directions:

Mix it all together and pour it over any salad of your choice!

Also known as Golden Milk, it hot milk made with including turmeric and some other spices into it. It is a comforting drink, made to treat all kind of ailments.

Mix cinnamon, ginger, honey and turmeric into a cup of warm milk, mix well to dissolve well and drink before bed!
